PEPPERMINT DASH traveled near the back in the early going, advanced three then four wide around the bend, surged to the front midstretch and dug in to maintain a short advantage over SOMERSET WEST to the wire. SOMERSET WEST followed within range up the backstretch, drew closer three deep on the turn, bid from outside at the top of the lane, took over shortly after but got outkicked by PEPPERMINT DASH in the final furlong. SILKIE SEVEI (IRE) bobbled a bit leaving the gate, settled inside, hugged the rail to the stretch, moved out in the lane and rallied for third. LOOKIN AT DIAMOND traveled inside a rival at the rear in the early going, trailed two wide into the stretch, angled to the inside then came back out and showed late run to earn a minor award. CORTINA D'AMPREZZO (IRE) stalked the speed from inside, stayed on the fence through the turn, challenged inside the leaders in upper stretch and flattened out in the late stages. SUBATOMIC LAW chased between rivals, steadied early on the turn, moved over to the rail, steered off the fence in the drive and weakened. MADDOG chased from out of range to the turn, got shuffled behind SUBATOMIC LAW around the bend, went between rivals at the quarter pole and could not rally. HIGH SOCIETY U took control early under pressure then moved clear near the half-mile pole, led along the rail then two wide into the stretch, challenged by outer rival at the top of the stretch and gave way once overtaken. GREYS OVER BAYS tracked outside a rivals to the turn, spun three wide into the lane and weakened. WHATASTARR (IRE) raced outside a rival at the back of the pack, continued two wide on the turn, swung out for the stretch but proved no menace. DARING PURSUIT pressed from outside early then stalked the leader up the backstretch, took the turn two wide and chased between rivals at the quarter pole, then tired down the lane.
