Footnotes
MEANING stalked from inside to the far turn, paused briefly then angled out at the five-sixteenths pole, drew alongside BROOKLYN BLONDE turning for home, seized control in upper stretch and drove clear from that rival in the last sixteenth. BROOKLYN BLONDE raced up close three deep in the early going, bid outside the top pair with three furlongs remaining, put a head in front past the five-sixteenths pole, cleared inner rivals with a quarter mile remaining, confronted by MEANING entering the lane, lost command in upper stretch and stayed on well for a clear second. BANK SHOT settled along the rail, continued on the inside into the far turn, steered out around the bend, spun five wide into the lane and bested the rest. RED CHERRY prompted the pace from outside to the far turn, fought between rivals at the five-sixteenths pole, could not keep up with the leader outside the quarter pole and tired in the stretch. FRENCH BLUE set the pace from inside under pressure from RED CHERRY, carried a short lead over that rival into the far turn, vied with outer pair past the three-eighths pole, relinquished the lead midway around the bend and retreated through the lane. HYPERGAMY tracked in the three path around the clubhouse turn, stayed off the rail in the middle stages, dropped back around the far turn, trailed four wide into the lane, eased to the wire and walked off. FORCED ENTRY came away cleanly from inside, eased by the rider crossing the finish line for the first time, pulled up on the clubhouse turn and walked off.
