Footnotes
CALL ME SIR tracked two wide around the first turn, moved inside early on the backstretch and began to draw closer, followed behind the leader through the far turn, moved off the fence in the lane to launch a bid, fought outside WARM SUN AND BREW in deep stretch and won the bob at the wire. WARM SUN AND BREW was closest in pursuit of the lone leader in the two path early, drew alongside that rival on the far turn, dueled into the lane, took over at the three-sixteenths pole, put PLEASE FOCUS away while meeting the challenge from CALL ME SIR, fought gamely to the wire and lost the bob on the line. PRINCE DOLCE reserved and taken to the two path then tipped three wide around the clubhouse turn, chased outside a rival leaving the backstretch, spun three wide into the lane, finished well to draw alongside the top pair late but was not enough. HIGHPLAINSDRIFTER tracked from inside out of range, drew closer in the middle stages, lost ground on the far turn, summoned a mild rally down the stretch and split foes to earn a minor award. SPEED OF ELON traveled along the inside in mid-pack, found traffic from the five-sixteenths marker to the quarter pole, tipped out into the clear and kept trying down the lane. KING OF DRAGONS chased out of range two wide then had to take up when running on heels around the first turn, moved forward on the backstretch, ridden along still in the two path on the far turn but flattened out in the furlong grounds. SABERTOOTH broke a step slow, trailed two wide then moved inside, chased three deep on the far turn, came four wide into the lane and improved position. FREEPORT JOE keen early racing towards the rear, traveled along the inside then in the two path, asked two then three wide on the far turn and failed to menace. PLEASE FOCUS cleared the field and crossed over to the inside, controlled the pace up the backstretch, challenged around the far turn, dueled into the lane, relinquished the lead shortly after and weakened in the last sixteenth. ZAGREUS broke a step slow, allowed to settle in the two path or outside a rival, moved into range on the far turn and weakened down the stretch. STYLISHLYACCLAIMED unhurried in the opening stages on the inside, fell back to last on the far turn, trailed two wide into the lane and was never a factor.
