LATER THAN PLANNED (IRE) broke well then took a stalking position behind TRACK TIGER, drew alongside that rival past the quarter pole, put a head in front in upper stretch, then edged clear in the last sixteenth. TRACK TIGER sprinted clear from outside, entered the turn in the two path then quickly found the rail, took pressure from LATER THAN PLANNED (IRE) past the quarter pole, fought on even terms entering the lane, lost command in upper stretch, stayed on to the sixteenth pole, then lost touch with the winner and was able to save second. CARO BUONO (FR) tracked between rivals then two wide into the turn, angled to the rail midway around the bend trailing the field, cut the corner into the lane, moved out a bit entering the last sixteenth, finished willingly between rivals and missed second. IRISEACH (IRE) tracked the top pair from inside, moved out a bit over the dirt, chased determinedly through the lane but needed to find more late. WON FOR LOU settled outside a pair of rivals, steered to the two path on the turn, moved out a bit crossing the surfaces and and weakened down the lane.
