Footnotes
MARLA HOOCH tracked from between rivals, roused two then three wide on the turn, challenged the top pair from outside entering the final furlong, drifted in and bumped THE LOAN EXCHANGE late and edged that rival for the victory. THE LOAN EXCHANGE was closest in pursuit through the early going, followed the leader in the two path around the bend, bid outside the eighth pole, fought between into the final sixteenth, took contact from MARLA HOOCH late and missed. LYNDEE'S DREAM stepped to the front and set the tone up the backstretch, coaxed along the rail around the bend, challenged by outer pair into the furlong grounds and yielded in the last sixteenth. JACKLYN LUCAS steadied when bothered by outer rival leaving the gate, traveled on the inside at the back then went between rivals leaving the backstretch, took the turn two wide, moved out in the lane and rounded out the superfecta. IMPRESSIONISTIC tracked three deep early, chased two wide past the quarter pole and weakened. MAGIC CARPET RIDE laid off the pace in the opening stages, saved ground through the turn, tipped out into the lane, drifted in and was corrected at the top of the stretch and could not threaten after. HOT DAY GIRL was off slow from the far outside, traveled outside a rival at the back then three deep into the turn, remained three wide around the bend and failed to make an impact. FANCY DANZING tracked from inside, fell out of range around the turn and tired in the lane. SURPRISE D' ORO dropped off the pace on the inside, checked inside a pair of rivals at the three-eighths pole, continued on the inside to the stretch and was never a factor. THERE WAS AN INQUIRY INVOLVING MARLA HOOCH AND THE LOAN EXCHANGE LATE IN THE RACE. THE STEWARDS UNANIMOUSLY RULED TO DISQUALIFY MARLA HOOCH FROM FIRST TO SECOND FOR DRIFTING IN AND MAKING CONTACT WITH THE LOAN EXCHANGE, COSTING THAT RIVAL A CHANCE AT A BETTER PLACING.
