LOVELY MEDAGLIA vied between rivals up the backstretch, chased after TWISTED HUMOR in the two path around the bend, re-bid from outside turning for home, took over midstretch and held over the runner-up. PLAY FOR ME chased out of range of the top trio three wide into the turn, cut to the two path late on the bend, rallied inside the leaders in the furlong grounds but could not get by the winner. BITTER TRUTH traveled in mid-pack off the inside, went four wide around the bend, got bumped and floated out into the lane, finished well and gained the show honors. TWISTED HUMOR vied for the lead inside a pair of rivals, cleared at the seven-sixteenths pole, challenged by LOVELY MEDAGLIA coming into the stretch, relinquished the lead midstretch and weakened in the last sixteenth. VRONAWAY vied outside a pair of rivals up the backstretch, chased three wide around the bend, drifted out and bumped BITTER TRUTH entering the lane and weakened. JULIA STREET lacked early speed, had one beat while traveling three wide into the turn, angled down to the rail around the bend while passing another runners, split foes at the eighth pole and improved position. DUCHESS CAT chased from off the pace, navigated the turn three then four wide and failed to rally. PALACE MISCHIEF coaxed along from off the pace in the early going, traveled on the inside then two wide around the turn and failed to menace. DESPITE showed early speed three deep between rivals then got crowded and dropped back to chase, rounded the bend two then three wide and weakened down the lane. KAMBREE'S FLYER coaxed along the inside from off the pace, hugged the rail to the stretch and could not threaten. SPICY ROSSO raced up close then climbed early and dropped back, went two wide around the bend and had little left for the drive. BERNIE'S BIG BABY got crowded leaving the gate, climbed in the early going and dropped back, trailed on the inside and was never a factor. THE TRAINER VRONAWAY LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST BITTER TRUTH FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE COMING INTO THE STRETCH. THE STEWARDS RULED THAT THE CONTACT BETWEEN THE TWO RIVALS DID NOT WARRANT A DISQUALIFICATION AND THE OBJECTION WAS DISALLOWED.
