Footnotes
WHITE MOUNTAIN settled near the back and tucked inside on the first turn, moved forward around the bend, closed in along the rail then in the two path on the far turn, swept by the leader turning for home, then kicked away in the final furlong. TYPHOON TOMMY showed the way in the two path into the first turn then got challenged by AUDBILE SLENCE around the bend, dueled with that rival to the far turn, cleared briefly with a quarter mile remaining, challenged by WHITE MOUNTAIN turning for home, offered little resistance to that rival and churned on for a clear second. ALOHA CHROME chased two then three wide on the first turn, moved further out on the backstretch, crept closer four wide on the far turn, could not summon the needed rally but was able to gain third. IRISH ELEMENT trailed on the inside then came off the rail a bit around the clubhouse turn, exited the backstretch in the three path, passed a rival while angling to the five path on the second bend, churned on down the lane and missed third. AUDIBLE SILENCE stalked briefly from inside then challenged for command on the clubhouse turn, dueled to the far turn, could not keep up but remained close through the far turn, then weakened down the lane. MACHO MAN chased four wide around the first turn, remained wide up the backstretch, came three wide into the lane and faded. BANDOLERO forwardly placed in the three wide early, challenged three deep in the middle stages, lost touch with the leader early on the far turn and tired down the lane. FINCAIRN tracked three then two wide around the first turn, between foes into the backstretch, lost ground into the far turn, dropped back around the bend and had little left for the drive.
