Footnotes
FATHER DELAY trailed along the inside, passed a rival leaving the bend, angled widest in upper stretch and surged late to be up in time. KID AZTECA broke a step slow, tracked the pace from inside, tipped off the fence around the bend, moved out further in upper stretch, rallied five deep midstretch, took a narrow lead late but was outkicked by the winner. NEON LIGHTS (IRE) stalked the top pair up the backstretch, roused at the five-sixteenths pole along the inside, lacked room in upper stretch, split foes past the eighth pole and got outkicked in the final sixteenth. LEMON SUSHI went up to press the pace from outside, kept the pressure on through the turn, took over in upper stretch, then yielded in the late stages. EDDIE'S LAST stalked the speed outside a rival, tipped out and launched a bid in upper stretch but got outkicked in the final sixteenth. I'M A LUCKY MAN set the pace with LEMON SUSHI to the outside, carried a short lead along the rail through the turn, lost command in upper stretch and weakened. JOHN DUNBAR tracked the leaders outside a rival to the turn, got floated to the three path on the turn but steered back inward and entered the lane two wide only to come up empty when called upon.
