MI CONFESION (ARG) set the pace along the inside with LAVENDER LOVE applying pressure, disposed of that rival on the far turn, asked right handed in upper stretch with TAKE ANOTHER CARD bearing down to his outside and held well over that rival through the final furlong. TAKE ANOTHER CARD stalked the leader from inside to the far turn, shifted to the two path at the quarter pole, took aim at MI CONFESION (ARG) through the stretch but lacked the needed late punch. LAVENDER LOVE pressed the winner from outside, could not keep up with that rival around the far turn, chased three wide turning for home and kept trying down the lane for a clear third. LUBIE'S MUSIC hopped slightly at the start but came away with the field, settled three deep at the back, got forced out to the five path into the first turn, angled back in a few paths only to get knocked into OUR MOONLIGHT by KETONIA (FR) around the bend, had one rival beat leaving the backstretch, saved ground through the far turn, weakened in the drive but was able to earn a minor award. MISS MEAGHER (IRE) raced up close on the inside then bore out into the first turn, returned to the inside quickly, trailed up the backstretch, stayed on the fence around the second bend and passed tired rivals in the lane. OUR MOONLIGHT had to check behind a rival early, got forced out to the four path early on the first turn, got bumped four deep around the bend, went three deep into the far turn, lost ground and moved to the two path, then weakened in the lane. KETONIA (FR) pulled between rivals at the back early, altered out into the first turn, angled back in but started to pull the rider again and bumped LUBIE'S MUSIC around the bend, settled down while between runners on the backstretch, driven three wide into the lane and faded. THERE WAS AN INQUIRY INVOLVING MISS MEAGHER (IRE) AND OUR MOONLIGHT ON THE FIRST TURN. THE STEWARDS UNANIMOUSLY RULED THAT MISS MEAGHER BE DISQUALIFIED FROM FIFTH TO SIXTH FOR BEARING OUT INTO THE PATH OF OUR MOONLIGHT, COSTING THAT RIVAL A CHANCE AT A BETTER PLACING.
