Footnotes
LEYAS CANDY forwardly placed in the two path around the first turn, applied pressure to the leader on the backstretch, cleared that rival midway around the far turn, carried a comfortable lead into deep stretch and was kept busy to the wire. MOTHER'S PRAYER chased four deep into the first turn then angled to the two path, settled off the pace, split foes at the five-sixteenths pole, tipped out into the stretch and rallied for second. NORTHERN QUEST went three wide into the first turn then quickly moved to the two path, traveled outside a rival at the back in the middle stages, continued two wide around the far turn, shifted three wide into the lane and was along for earn the show honors. SUNSET STORM tracked the pace in the two path, drew closer two to three wide on the second bend and weakened in the drive. UPSTART YANKEE unhurried in the early going and moved inside, gained along the rail then in the two path on the second bend only to flatten out in the drive. MISCHIEFS CAUSEWAY raced up close three deep on the first turn, lost positions three then four wide on the far turn and tired down the lane. CHIEF JACKSON tucked inside at the back then moved off the rail around the clubhouse turn, came back to the rail on the backstretch, remained inside to the lane and was never a factor. JEWELED SHILLELAGH sent for the lead on the inside, cleared around the first turn, took pressure on the backstretch, yielded to outer rival at the five-sixteenths pole and retreated.
