Footnotes
BIG CITY LIGHTS forwardly placed from outside then pressed the leader at the half-mile pole, dueled around the turn and took over at thee quarter pole, fought with SPEEDY WILSON into the lane, lost the lead in upper stretch, reclaimed the advantage at the quarter pole and dug in to prevail. SPEEDY WILSON followed in range off the rail then between rivals, bid three deep on the turn, dueled outside BIG CITY LIGHTS into the lane, took over in upper stretch, gave the lead back at the eighth pole, battled into deep stretch but came up short in the end. DROP UM broke well, stalked three deep early, asked four to five wide on the turn but flattened out in the lane. EXTENSIVE chased from off the pace and moved inside, tipped three wide around the bend, drifted to the rail in the lane and improved position. DEER DISTRICT unhurried in the beginning, raced outside a rival into the turn, moved to the rail midway around the bend, tipped out into the stretch, lacked room at the eighth pole and could not regain momentum once in the clear. MOMAD raced up close from inside, lost some ground on the turn and weakened down the lane. MODUS BESTIA sped clear then took pressure at the half-mile pole, headed with three furlongs remaining, lost command at the quarter pole, yielded to the top pair approaching the stretch and gave way. JUDGE MILLER got crowded a bit early, raced off the rail near the back, trailed four wide into the lane and was never a factor.
