HEY JESSIE stalked three deep then moved into the two path around the first turn, challenged RESOLVE from outside on the backstretch, dueled through the far turn, got carried out by RESOLVE turning for home, put head in front in upper stretch, led between rivals into the final furlong, lost command dueling with CAILIN DANA midstretch, reclaimed the lead approaching the sixteenth pole and inched away from CAILIN DANA late. CAILIN DANA allowed the top quartet to go early and tucked inside at the back, crept closer on the backstretch, picked up stride while angling widest on the final turn, spun four wide into the lane, angled out widest and challenged the top pair into the final furlong, took over briefly midstretch before giving the lead back to HEY JESSIE and was outkicked in deep stretch. ULYSSES ROSE (IRE) went four deep into the first turn then dropped back a bit and steered to the inside, remained on the fence through the clubhouse turn, drew closer on the backstretch, roused two then three wide on the final turn but flattened out in the final furlong. RESOLVE stalked the leader in the two path, drifted out a bit crossing the dirt, tugged keenly in hand and was let loose to take the lead crossing the finish line for the first time, cleared FRENCH MOONLIGHT and moved inside, took pressure from HEY JESSIE on the backstretch, fought head to head around the far turn, drifted out into the lane, relinquished the lead in upper stretch, fought with outer pair with a furlong remaining then weakened in the late stages. FRENCH MOONLIGHT showed the way from inside down the hill, was overtaken by RESOLVE passing the finish line for the first time, stalked along the rail to the final turn, came under a ride while continuing to save ground and weakened in the stretch run.
