MAKER AND SONS vied inside a trio of rivals to the turn, ridden along fighting with outer pair around the bend, lost command approaching the stretch, battled back from the fence, dueled with ROMANTIC RIDE in deep stretch and edged that rival on the line. ROMANTIC RIDE followed in range staying well off the rail, rounded the bend four then three wide, tipped out into the lane, rallied to the front at the eighth pole, dueled with MAKER AND SONS in the last sixteenth and got nailed on the wire. KING'S RIDE vied four deep to the turn, three deep midway around the bend, took over nearing the stretch, lost command at the eighth pole and flattened to third. WHAT A GIFT chased widest in the early going, traveled four to five wide on the turn and improved position down the lane. TAMARANDO BEACH vied three deep between rivals up the backstretch, moved into the two path midway around the bend, fought on to the eighth pole, then folded in the furlong grounds. STAY FOR THE BOOM stalked the top quartet in the opening stages, chased after the leading trio past the three-eighths pole while saving ground next to the fence, then weakened in the stretch run. ORIGINAL ONE vied two wide between rivals early, failed to keep up with three furlongs remaining, dropped back two to three wide around the bend and tired.
