ZALAMO (FR) bumped leaving, reserved and taken to the inside, drew closer while moving into the two path on the far turn, tipped out and bid three deep into the final furlong, dueled outside LORD BULLINGDON in deep stretch and edged that rival for the victory. LORD BULLINGDON traveled in mid-pack on the inside, moved into range on the backstretch, stayed on the fence and was ridden along on the far turn, bid between foes at the eighth pole, led briefly midstretch but got outkicked by ZALAMO (FR) in the last sixteenth. PIONEER PRINCE stumbled and brushed outer rival at the start, went to take control while under pressure from GEOMETRY, dueled with that rival up the backstretch, inched ahead on the far turn, shook free from GEOMETRY at the top of the lane, challenged by outer pair at the eighth pole, lost command midstretch and flattened to third. KAWAZAKI (IRE) settled off the pace in the early going, raced between rivals two wide on the first turn, eased out to the four path around the second bend and flattened out in the drive. COOLWIND got pinballed to the back at the start, angled over to the inside, ridden along into the far turn, saved ground to the stretch, steered out at the top of the lane and produced a mild rally. GEOMETRY took a bump at the start, went up to prompt the pace from outside, dueled up the backstretch, came under a ride to keep up with PIONEER PRINCE on the far turn, yielded to that rival at the top of the stretch and weakened. CAISSON bumped COOLWIND at the start, pulled a bit first time through the stretch then again early on the backstretch, drew closer between rivals in the two path on the far turn, angled out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. TARIFF tracked in the two path, moved forward in the middle stages, asked between runners on the far turn, took aim three wide turning for home and weakened in the lane. AH JEEZ raced outside a rival in the middle of the pack, crept closer three deep on the backstretch, got shuffled on the far turn and could not be a factor in the stretch run. MONGOLIAN APPLE brushed leaving the gate, laid off the pace three wide or outside a pair of rivals, made a middle move from outside on the backstretch, chased three, four, then five wide on the far turn and tired in the lane.
