KING OF DRAGONS laid off the pace outside a rival, moved into range on the backstretch, made two then three wide move around the far turn, challenged from outside coming into the lane, took over under hand urging in upper stretch and was kept busy to the wire. SAND BAGGER stalked two then three wide early, was closest in pursuit of the leader in the middle stages, challenged from outside past the three-eighths pole, put a head in front midway around the bend, cleared inner rival but was quickly confronted by KING OF DRAGONS approaching the stretch, lost the lead outside the eighth pole and stayed on well for a clear second. GOODFELLA (IRE) settled along the rail, chased two wide around the far turn, moved into the third in upper stretch but could not threaten the top pair in the final furlong. BAD TO THE BONES trailed on the inside, tipped three wide around the far turn and passed tired rivals. ZAGREUS showed the way outside a rival then moved inside nearing the first turn, took pressure past the three-eighths pole, lost command midway around the bend, failed to keep up with the top pair at the quarter pole and faded in the lane. JUST A GRAZE pulled while racing up close next to the fence then got put in tight by the leader first time in the stretch, shifted to the two path and went up to press the leader for a bit around the clubhouse turn, dropped back to chase on the backstretch, saved ground while starting to weaken on the far turn and tired in the stretch.
