ROYAL 'N RANDO trailed from inside then a bit off the rail early, went three wide into the far turn, was on the move while angling out around the bend, took aim six wide turning for home, fought outside the top pair into the final furlong, put a head in front midstretch and drove clear. HABEAS was closest in pursuit two then three wide on the on the first turn, reeled in the leader to challenge three deep midway around the far turn, dueled with BIG JUANITO late on the bend while getting floated out, fought between rivals midstretch, could not match strides with the winner in the last sixteenth but was able to edge BIG JUANITO for second. BIG JUANITO steered to the two path settling off the pace then between runners on the clubhouse turn, chased three wide leaving the backstretch, angled in and quickly challenged the leader from the fence past the five-sixteenths pole put a head in front dueling with HABEAS and drifted off the fence at the quarter pole, carried a short lead into the final furlong, overtaken by the winner midstretch and got edged for the place honors. MOTHER'S PRAYER sat of the pace three deep around the first turn, angled in on the backstretch, trailed two then three wide on the second bend, had two rivals beat turning for home but had little left for the stretch run. CHIEF WILD EAGLE settled along the rail, drew closer under left then right handed urging on the far turn but tired in the lane. DEVIL MOON went to the front and showed the way in the two path then along the rail around the first turn while opening up a big lead, continued well clear up the backstretch, came under a ride early on the far turn, got swallowed up past the five-sixteenths pole, drifted into the lane and tired.
