LAVENDER LOVE established the front in the two path then found the rail around the first turn, showed the way with NORMANDY QUEEN following from outside, coaxed along leaving the far turn, then drew off when asked left handed at the eighth pole and was in hand late. NORMANDY QUEEN raced up close in the two path, followed the leader closely through the far turn, was no match for the winner in the final furlong but was clearly second best. NANCI GRIFFITH stalked three deep to the far turn, lost ground around the bend and weakened in the drive. DONTTELLOURWIVES stalked the top pair from inside, dropped back on the far turn, eased in the final furlong and walked off.
