ZEUS' WAR had to pause behind HALO UNCLE early, raced outside that rival off the pace into the turn, steered out late on the bend, drew alongside GOLDEN RIVER in deep stretch and drove past. GOLDEN RIVER set the pace under pressure to the turn, inched clear around the bend, showed the way into the final sixteenth and got outfinished by ZEUS' WAR late. IDIOT'S GOLD pressed the pace from outside, chased two wide past the five-sixteenths pole, finish willingly through the lane to remain close and earned the show honors. CHIEF WILD EAGLE stalked from inside, cut the corner into the stretch and finished evenly late. J. B. BOOKS trailed up the backstretch, took the turn two wide, angled out and summoned a mild rally to pass a pair of rivals. HALO UNCLE raced keenly in hand early then was coaxed along chasing to the turn out of range, hugged the rail to the stretch and failed to rally. COUSIN RICHIE broke a step slow on the outside, tracked two wide, spun three wide into the stretch and weakened.
