Footnotes
ASMODEUS sped clear from outside and crossed over to the two path, took pressure from inside late on the first turn, lost command early on the backstretch but remained alongside the leader to the far turn, moved up on even terms past the five-sixteenths pole, regained command entering the lane, battled down the stretch and gamely prevailed. FIREMAN DAN stalked from inside then went up to challenge at the three-quarter pole, took control early on the backstretch, headed by ASMODEUS midway around the far turn, lost the lead exiting that bend, fought back from inside through the length of the stretch but could not get by the winner. DAMAZIO tracked four deep around the clubhouse turn, three deep on the backstretch, chased outside a rival past the five-sixteenths pole and was along to gain the show honors. MICI'S EXPRESS raced four wide into the first turn then moved into the three path while pulling the rider, raced between rivals in the middle stages, chased two wide then along the rail on the far turn and lacked a rally. BE PUNCTUAL pulled between rivals approaching the first turn, continued to tug the rider forward three wide on that bend, chased four then three wide on the far turn and weakened. TAMARANDO STAR stalked between rivals early, weakened along the rail on the far turn and tired. SUPERMAX lagged behind on the inside, trailed two wide into the stretch and was never a factor.
