Footnotes
TIZ ALL THAT was closest in pursuit of the leader up the backstretch, latched onto that rival at the quarter pole, put a head in front in upper stretch and edged clear in the last sixteenth. LEGAL HEIR sprinted clear and set the tone in the early going, challenged by outer rival at the quarter pole, relinquished the lead in upper stretch, stayed on well through the final furlong and held second. MONUMENTAL followed in range from off the rail, rounded the bend in the three path and chased evenly to the wire. DON REBELDE was off slow to begin, traveled along the inside at the back, shifted to the two path past the five-sixteenths pole, kept on to earn a minor award but failed to threaten. WAR ARTIST trailed outside a rival early, found the rail and saved ground through the turn, then passed tired rivals in the stretch. MY EYES ON YOU laid off the pace up the backstretch, went two to three wide on the turn and failed to menace. BAKO COUNTRY chased from inside, lost ground around the bend and never responded when called upon. BUCKS ACTION dropped back early outside rivals, went four wide around the bend, drifted into the stretch, eased in the lane and eventually pulled up past the sixteenth pole and walked off.
