CLOUSEAU vied three deep into the first turn then dueled outside BOWTIE BOYS for command, cleared that rival approaching the far turn and moved inside, responded to urging as GHAZAALY took aim in upper stretch, turned that rival away in midstretch and padded the lead late. GHAZAALY showed brief speed between rivals then took a stalking position in the two path, was closest in pursuit around the far turn, took aim at the leader still in the two path turning for home but got turned away past the eighth pole. WHISKYGINANDBRANDY raced four deep into the first turn then dropped back a bit and moved into the three path, stayed off the rail up the backstretch and far turn, then weakened in the lane but was able to save third. COOLWIND dropped back while coaxing along early and moved to the inside, continued to be ridden along while lagging behind on the backstretch, made slight progress three then two wide on the far turn, passed a tired a rival then failed to get by WHISKGINANDBRANDY for third. BOWTIE BOYS fought inside rivals for the lead into the first turn then dueled from inside, could not keep up with CLOUSEAU leaving the backstretch, weakened around the far turn and tired in the stretch.
