PANUCO chased from inside, bid from the rail entering the lane, surged clear in upper stretch and powered away under some right handed urging and steady handling. WINDS OF FREEDOM attended the pace from outside, went four wide into the turn, moved into the three path then tipped back out past the quarter pole, bid four deep coming into the stretch, was no match for the winner approaching the eighth pole but kept on to best the rest. NIJINSKY HALO broke alertly to establish the front, showed the way under pressure from CASCABEL for a bit before racing on even terms up the backstretch, fought head to head around the bend, shifted out and bumped CASCABEL past the quarter pole, fought between rivals briefly at the top of the lane before yielding to the winner, flattened in the furlong grounds but managed to save third. CASCABEL pressed the pace for a bit then dueled up the backstretch, got bumped by NIJINSKY HALO late on the bend, vied three deep into the lane and weakened in the final furlong. CARDINAL SPIRIT raced up close three deep, moved into the two path early on the turn, eased out three, four, then five wide around the bend and weakened in the drive. HEBER trailed just out of range into the turn in the two path, dropped back while finding the rail around the bend and tired in the stretch.
