Footnotes
TOUCHDOWN BROWN sprinted to the front in the two path then moved over to the inside late on the bend, met bids from outer rivals at the nine-sixteenths pole, cleared approaching the far turn, opened up on the far turn, remained well clear into the final sixteenth, came under threat from MINING DISTRICT late and was able to hold on. MINING DISTRICT was closest in pursuit along the rail then shifted to the two path late on the first turn, challenged TOUCHDOWN BROWN from outside at the nine-sixteenths pole, could not sustain the challenge into the far turn, remained closest in the two path on the far turn, came back on in deep stretch, drew alongside TOUCHDOWN BROWN late but could not get by. ROYAL 'N RANDO tracked two wide into the first turn, navigated the far turn three then two wide, angled out into the lane and summoned a mild rally to best the rest. KING OF CLUBS chased in the three path off the pace early, drew closer on the backstretch, dropped out of range two then three wide on the second bend and flattened in the drive. SHORTMAN unhurried and steered to the inside, saved ground on the far turn as well and lacked a rally when called upon. KERRY GOLD tracked three then four wide early, dropped back in the two path around the second bend and weakened in the lane. WINDRIBBON tracked two then three wide on the clubhouse turn, put in a mild bid three deep on the backstretch but soon lost contact with the top pair, lost ground three then four wide on the final turn and faded in the stretch.
