Footnotes
KIKURIDE unhurried in the early going, went four deep into the turn, gained three deep around the bend, closed in and headed the leader with a sixteenth remaining and drove clear. PAVEL IS APPEALING was forwardly placed up the backstretch, challenged the leader from outside with three furlongs remaining, took control at the quarter pole, emerged clear entering the lane, showed the way into the final furlong, collared by KIKURIDE in deep stretch and yielded to that rival. AMERICA'S MARK tracked in the two path leaving the backstretch, moved out a bit at the top of the lane, altered out a bit from behind PURE CHAOS near the eighth pole and ran on for third. PURE CHAOS followed in range in the early going, chased two then three wide on the turn, put in a bid in upper stretch but flattened out in the late stages. TAM'S LITTLE ANGEL chased from off the pace between rivals leaving the backstretch, got crowded early on the turn, went two wide into the lane and kept trying to improve position. CHRISTEL CLEAN settled on the inside, drew closer approaching the turn, was forced to wait when boxed in from the three-eighths pole to the five-sixteenths marker, gained a clear path with a quarter mile remaining, moved out in upper but flattened out in the furlong grounds. LONG MAYSHE REIGN pressed the pace from inside then stalked the leader past the half-mile pole, chased along the rail then in the two path on the turn, took aim at the leader in upper stretch but weakened past the eighth pole. IDESSIA fell back to last quickly, saved ground through the turn, cut the corner into the stretch and lacked room behind a pair of rivals past the eighth pole. NEEZER DALTON showed the way under pressure early then cleared at the half-mile pole, challenged by a rival at the three-eighths pole, lost command at the quarter pole and folded in the lane. CHILLY PHILLY laid off the pace outside rivals then off the rail, chased four then three wide around the bend and was never a factor.
