Footnotes
BIG CITY LIGHTS followed behind the top pair from inside into the turn, shifted to the two path around the bend, tipped out and challenged three deep with a furlong remaining, dueled with BOOK SMART into the last sixteenth and edged clear. BOOK SMART dueled from outside up the backstretch and around the turn, carried a short lead over THIRSTY REBEL into the lane, put that rival away in midstretch while battling with BIG CITY LIGHTS, resisted to the sixteenth pole, then yielded to the winner. THIRSTY REBEL fought for the lead from inside, battled to upper stretch, then failed to kick on with the top pair in midstretch, weakened in deep stretch but was able to secure third. DROP UM chased from off the pace and moved to the inside, angled out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. UNCLE CHILLY stumbled leaving the gate and trailed in the early going, took the turn two wide, steered out in the lane and passed a tired rival. LONESOME STEW stalked the dueling leaders from off the rail, navigated the turn three wide and tired in the final furlong.
