Footnotes
TROJAN MAFIA pressed the pace from between rivals to the half-mile pole, fought outside STAR OF DELHI into the far turn, cleared that rival around the bend, met a pair of bids at the top of the lane, resisted into deep stretch while drifting out a bit and held gamely to the wire. STAGE RUN settled three then two wide between rivals around the first turn, crept closer under urging on the backstretch, continued to gain ground two then three wide on the far turn, bid between rivals at the top of the lane, got floated out a bit by the winner and could not get by. MY MAN JOE ROLDAN tracked four wide into the first turn then moved into the three path, remained wide up the backstretch, gained four wide around the far turn, challenged three deep at the top of the stretch, battled through the lane while getting floated out a bit and could not summon the needed late kick. CARL ERSKINE unhurried in the beginning and tucked inside at the back, moved off the fence on the backstretch, advanced two wide around the far turn, steered out approaching the stretch and flattened in the final furlong. FIRE CHIEF tracked the pace from inside, lost ground on the backstretch, asked right handed on the far turn while continuing to save ground, moved out at the top of the lane and weakened. STAR OF DELHI showed the way early under pressure from a pair of rivals, fought with TROJAN MAFIA leaving the backstretch, lost command past the three-eighths pole, failed to keep up with the new leader at the quarter pole and gave way in the lane. SON OF ONEEYEDMAMA pressed three deep to the half-mile pole, could not keep up with the leaders leaving the backstretch, dropped back around the far turn, eased through the lane and walked off.
