Footnotes
RESOLVE reserved at the back and moved inside, drew closer in hand on the backstretch, raced inside THE MIZEN QUEEN (IRE) into the far turn but had to pause when put in a bit tight, waited along the rail through the bend, swung out into the lane, rallied five deep into the final furlong, fought three deep late and won the bob over LADY IN PARIS (GB) on the line. LADY IN PARIS (GB) settled in the two path, drew closer in the middle stages, pursued from between rivals around the far turn, bid between runners in upper stretch, battled inside a pair of rivals in the last sixteenth and lost the bob to the winner. STOP DIGGING followed in range in the two path, moved out a bit on the far turn and took aim three wide approaching the stretch, put a head in front at the eighth pole, led between rivals into the final sixteenth but got outkicked by the top pair. THE MIZEN QUEEN (IRE) stalked the pace from the rail, stayed on the fence to the stretch, launched a rail bid but lacked the needed late punch. GOING DEEP controlled the pace in the early going, took pressure on the backstretch, maintained command through the far turn, relinquished the lead with a furlong to go and weakened in deep stretch. ATIA was closest in pursuit of the leader and moved to the two path, latched onto GOING DEEP in the middle stages, kept the pressure on through the far turn, could not keep up into the final furlong and tired.
