THE G M raced up close behind the top pair, challenged between on the turn then dueled from outside, took over at the top of the lane, fought with SUPERNAL in the final furlong and held gamely. SUPERNAL chased from outside under coaxing, went four deep around the bend, challenged in upper stretch, dueled outside THE G M in the furlong grounds and got denied. SEE THROUGH IT turned his head and came away slow, trailed two then three wide, angled out in the lane, came with a late run and gained third. GEEZER chased from inside, hugged the rail through the turn, moved off the fence in the lane and got edged for third. CODY BOY got crowded leaving the gate, moved up quickly but ran up into a bad spot behind rivals and had to take up leaving the backstretch, drew closer around the bend, tried to challenge between rivals at the top of the lane but saw the hole close and had to steady altered out midstretch and kept on to share a minor award. OTRO MAS dropped off the pace in the early going, saved ground on the turn and improved position. REFOCUS chased two wide into the turn, angled to the four path quickly and lacked a response down the lane. DISOBEY dueled with FUEGO DEL SOL up the backstretch, fought inside a pair of rivals early on the bend then dueled with THE G M, lost command in upper stretch and folded. FUEGO DEL SOL bobbled slightly at the start, went up to duel from outside, vied three deep early on the bend, could not keep up with a quarter mile remaining and tired in the drive. THE RIDER ABOARD CODY BOY LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE G M AND SUPERNAL FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS RULED THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
