DANZING WILD CAT raced up close from inside, swung outside the top pair approaching the stretch, dueled with PROUD RACER through the final furlong and gamely prevailed. PROUD RACER bumped with inner rival at the start, rushed up between rivals then pressed the leader up the backstretch, fought on even terms with a quarter mile remaining, put a head in front at the top of the lane, lost command past the eighth pole while battling with DANZING WILD CAT, dug in gamely to the wire but came up just short in the photo. PAPA SANTOS broke a step slow, traveled near the back two wide into the turn, found the rail and saved ground to the stretch, moved back off the fence in the drive and bested the rest. BIG REFLECTIONS broke a step slow, trailed on the inside into the turn, saved ground to the stretch and passed tired rivals to round out the superfecta. BIG NOTION bumped with DANE THE GREAT leaving the gate, sat off the pace early on, took the turn two wide and failed to threaten. RIDE THE TIGER bobbled leaving the gate but recovered quickly and went to the front, took pressure approaching the half-mile pole, headed with a quarter mile left to run, yielded to outer rivals in upper stretch and folded. DANE THE GREAT got bumped on both sides at the start, climbed early while dropping off the pace, went three wide around the bend and failed to menace. SUNSET RIDE attended the pace three deep to the turn, started to weaken around the bend, lugged in upper stretch and faded down the lane.
