Footnotes
OM N JOY was content to lag behind the field early along the inside, passed a weakening rival at the half-mile pole, closed in while angling to the three path on the far turn, had the rider lose his crop in upper stretch, reeled in the leader under hand urging past the eighth pole, drew clear from SIMPLY JOKING with a sixteenth remaining and padded the winning margin late. SIMPLY JOKING took control early and set the pace with SESIMIC BEAUTY alongside, maintained short lead up the backstretch, moved clear early on the far turn, kicked away briefly at the top of the stretch but soon felt the presence of OM N JOY bearing down entering the final furlong, offered little resistance to that rival in midstretch and kept on for a clear second. SEISMIC BEAUTY prompted the pace from outside, lost touch with SIMPLY JOKING early on the far turn, chased two wide to the stretch and weakened down the lane. LAVENDER LOVE stumbled leaving the gate but quickly recovered, chased in the three path around the clubhouse turn, dropped back in the middle stages, eased around the far turn, pulled up at the top of the stretch and walked off.
