Footnotes
SHADOW NATION (IRE) broke a step slow, chased from off the pace on the inside, gained quickly on the leaders around the bend, seized control entering the lane, widened under hand urging to the sixteenth pole and was in hand late. NYLIE vied for the lead inside a pair of rivals, shifted to the two path entering the turn, held a short lead over REPO through the bend, was overtaken by SHADOW NATION (IRE) turning for home, yielded to that rival at the top of the stretch, kept trying down the lane and held second. REPO fought three deep to the turn, dueled outside NYLIE around the bend, was no match for the winner in upper stretch, weakened in the final furlong but was able to secure third. TUDDY broke well then dropped back off the pace, steered to the inside, came off the fence approaching the stretch and failed to menace. THE MOE SHOW was reluctant loading, broke slow from the outside, lagged behind early, saved ground through the turn, then passed a tired rival. SIMPLE MAJORITY fought for command between rivals up the backstretch, got crowded into the turn and had to steady, chased two wide then along the rail and tired down the lane.
