Footnotes
SOMERSET WEST settled inside, shifted to the two path early on the turn, waited behind rivals, spun three wide into the lane, tipped out to challenge in upper stretch, overtook SEEKING ATTENTION past the eighth pole and drove clear. SEEKING ATTENTION chased after the lone leader outside rivals, offered a bid three deep with a quarter mile remaining, grabbed the lead turning for home, put inner rivals away while confronted by SOMERSET WEST in upper stretch, relinquished the lead shortly after, failed to fight back midstretch but stayed on to secure second. GOODIES stalked along the rail into the turn, waited behind the leader around the bend, shifted to the two path approaching the stretch, moved out in the drive and finished evenly for the show honors. DECISIVE DECEPTION sat off the pace off the rail then outside a pair of rivals, bumped with KINZLEE'SCHARISMA nearing the five-sixteenths pole, traveled three wide into the stretch and could not rally. KINZLEE'SCHARISMA chased outside a rival then between foes from out of range in the opening stages, bumped a few times with DECISIVE DECEPTION and lost her path near the five-sixteenths pole, shifted over to the rail, eased off the fence entering the final furlong, then got floated in a bit and steadied inside the sixteenth pole. VELVET REIGN (IRE) was closest in pursuit up the backstretch, challenged between rivals at the quarter pole, failed to keep up in upper stretch and weakened in the furlong grounds. TIZ ALLURING sprinted to the front and set the tone early, challenged by a pair of outer runners at the quarter pole, lost the lead approaching the stretch and gave way. NATURAL DIAMOND was off slow to begin and lagged behind, saved ground to the stretch and never got involved. THERE WAS AN INQUIRY INVOLVING DECISIVE DECEPTION AND KINZLEE'SCHARISMA RUN ON THE TURN. THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED DECISIVE DECEPTION FROM FOURTH TO FIFTH FOR BUMPING KINZLEE'SCHARISMA AND COSTING THAT RIVAL A CHANCE AT A BETTER PLACING.
