PRINCE DOLCE traveled along the rail in mid-pack early, moved forward up the backstretch, saved ground through the far turn, bid between the top pair in upper stretch, took over with a furlong remaining, emerged clear midstretch and drew off. HIGHPLAINSDRIFTER got crowded leaving the gate, trailed the field next to the rail in the early going, stayed on the fence around the far turn, swung out approaching the stretch, closed well through the lane and gained second but was unable to threaten the winner. CREATIVE OM controlled the pace on the inside to the far turn, took pressure from a pair of rivals late on the bend, fought with outer trio in upper stretch before giving up the lead at the eighth pole, weakened in the late stages but managed to save third. JIMMY BLUE JEANS laid off the pace in the two path early, drew closer in the middle stages, bid three deep outside the quarter pole, entered the lane in the four path, fought four deep in upper stretch, flattened out in the furlong grounds and got outfinished for third. MATT AT FIVE was closest in pursuit in the two path early on, drew alongside the leader with a quarter mile remaining, drifted to the three path approaching the stretch, fought three deep in upper stretch and flattened out in the late stages. NINETEENTH HOLE raced near the back in the two path early, moved inside on the backstretch, saved ground to the stretch and failed to menace. MAURY WILLS traveled outside NINETEENTH HOLE in the three path on the first turn, exited the backstretch in the two path, shifted three wide approaching the quarter pole and could not rally.
