DUKE SILVER pressed three deep in the early going, dueled outside SIR DAVIS past the three-eighths pole, inched ahead late on the turn, put that rival away entering the lane, drew away under a drive and was kept busy in the last sixteenth. SIR DAVIS vied between rivals up the backstretch, held a short lead dueling inside DUKE SILVER past the three-eighths pole, lost command outside the quarter pole, could not keep up with that rival coming into the stretch, stayed on through the lane and finished a clear second. NEWTON climbed a bit early then angled down to the inside, crept closer into the turn, moved off the rail to the two path around the bend, churned on through the lane and outdueled MOON for the show honors. MOON reluctant loading, chased out of range well off the rail, rounded the bend five then four wide, kept on down the lane but could not get by NEWTON for third. ROAST vied for the lead inside a pair of rivals, yielded past the three-eighths pole and tired in the lane. YAUTOWN took a stutter step and bumped with inner rival leaving the gate, chased from off the pace staying away from the rail, rounded the bend two then three wide, angled out at the three-sixteenths pole and failed to menace. PEACE ON EARTH broke inward, lagged behind early also staying off the rail, angled in on the turn, steered out at the top of the lane and could not make an impact. PRACTICAL JACK took contact from YAUTOWN at the start, stalked the top trio four wide into the turn, moved into the three path around the bend and tired. GETTINGAWAYWITHIT broke inward, dropped back while racing greenly, angled to the inside, shifted to the two path early on the turn and was never a factor.
