ROCKABILLY REBAL vied five deep up the backstretch, lost touch with the leaders early on the turn then challenged again four deep at the five-sixteenths pole, fought three deep turning for home, led into the final furlong, cleared inside the sixteenth pole and lasted over the late run from the runner-up. FARMER TOM dropped off the pace despite being ridden along early, stayed wide up the backstretch, went five wide into the turn, angled down to the two path, came back out and entered the lane four deep, drifted in and brushed a rival at the eighth pole, rallied late to inhale the leader but ran out of ground. DUKE OF ORLEANS chased well off the rail from off the pace, exited the bend five deep, closed well in the late stages and gained third. HE'S GOT FIRE vied four deep between rivals in the early going, lost touch briefly on the turn then reengaged three deep midway around the bend, carried a short lead two wide into the lane, lost command at the top of the stretch, fought back into deep stretch then flattened a bit late. R DANNY BOY fought between rivals up the backstretch, took over early on the turn, lost command after moving to the inside late on the bend, yielded to he top pair in upper stretch, then stayed on well from the rail to the wire. BIG NOTION followed in range from off the rail, lost ground on the turn, went two wide into the lane, bumped with outer rival at the eighth pole and could not rally. NAUDESNOODLE chased out wide from off the pace, entered the lane six runners deep and failed to threaten. WILD KING threw his head and was off slow to begin, raced near the back in the early going, navigated the turn three then two wide, angled out in the lane and improved position. FIRE CHIEF chased from inside out of range of the speed battle, saved ground through the turn, moved off the fence in upper stretch and lacked a response. LAST CALL GENO broke a bit slow, laid well off the pace, exited the turn in the three path, steered out in the drive and was never a factor. SUBIC BOY vied three deep between rivals to the turn, failed to match strides and gave chase in the three path around the bend, then tired in the lane. READYTOBOARD fought with several rivals to the outside for the early lead, could not keep pace at the quarter pole, tired in upper stretch and was eased in the final furlong. HARRISBURGER was off slow to start and lacked early quickness, tucked inside at the back and never got involved.
