Footnotes
DAKOTA COUNTRY reserved outside a rival then three deep, moved into the two path for the turn, angled out approaching the stretch, rallied widest to grab the lead midstretch and drove clear. DOUBLE JAB dueled from outside up the backstretch and around the turn, inched ahead from CHARGE FOR GOLD in upper stretch, lost command midstretch and held second. VANCOUGAR tracked off the rail then moved up between rivals, steered to the rail past the seven-sixteenths pole, waited behind the top pair around the bend, tipped out at the top of the stretch and chased evenly through the final furlong. CHARGE FOR GOLD took a narrow lead dueling inside DOUBLE JAB, lost command in upper stretch and weakened in the furlong grounds. DONCIC stalked the top pair outside a rival, went two then three wide around the bend, angled out at the top of the stretch and also weakened. CODE DUELLO broke well then dropped back a bit to follow the dueling leaders on the inside, fell back to last at the seven-sixteenths pole, eased around the turn, pulled up in upper stretch and walked off. DUE TO A TIMER MALFUNCTION THE FIRST QUARTER FRACTION WAS HAND-TIMED.
