Footnotes
MIZUMI stalked behind the leader on the inside, tipped three wide at the quarter pole, drew alongside WOLF HILL approaching the final furlong, seized control midstretch and won going away. WOLF HILL raced up close in the two path, applied light pressure to the leader on the backstretch, fought on even terms at the five-sixteenths pole, took over late on the bend, emerged clear turning for home, collared by MIZUMI at the eighth pole, yielded to that rival with a sixteenth remaining and stayed on to secure second. BANK SHOT broke out and bumped MARJORAM, stalked three deep in the early, chased outside MIZUMI on the far turn, spun four wide into the lane and weakened in the final furlong. DARING PURSUIT showed the way in the opening stages from inside, took light pressure from WOLF HILL on the backstretch, headed by that rival midway around the far turn, lost command with a quarter mile remaining and faded down the lane. MARJORAM got bumped outward by BANK SHOT in the beginning, pulled in the three path, settled on the backstretch, asked three then two wide on the far turn and weakened in the drive. SUGAREE settled in the two path then found the rail on the clubhouse turn, coaxed along trailing up the backstretch, dropped back further around the far turn and was eased in the lane.
