NO JOKE ANTARES settled in the two path outside a rival, moved into range on the far turn, came three wide into the stretch, tipped out and rallied four deep and bested inner trio in the last sixteenth. GAINES rated three deep early, stalked outside a rival on the backstretch, took aim three wide at the quarter pole, fought between runners in the final furlong and got outkicked by the winner. SAGUNTO stepped to the front and set the tone early, took pressure on the backstretch, dueled around the far turn, resisted over outer trio into deep stretch and yielded grudgingly late. THROWTHEFIRSTPUNCH keen early outside the leader three then two wide around the first turn, applied pressure in the middle stages, fought on even terms around the far turn, battled between in the lane and could not find the needed late kick. BIG VENGEANCE stalked along the rail, followed behind the leaders around the far turn, lacked room to launch a bid in upper stretch, moved out with a furlong remaining and kept trying to the wire. CORNEALEUSTHEGREAT saved ground from off the pace, ridden along through the far turn, moved out in upper stretch and could not rally. LITTLE ORIGINAIRE trailed in the two path to the far turn, traveled along the inside into the lane and was eased through the final furlong.
