CHAPTER ONE sped clear quickly, opened up easily on the turn, continued to widen under some taps on the shoulder and completely dominated the field. KIKI RIDE broke well then chased the leader outside a rival, fell out of striking distance around the bend, churned on through the lane and outdueled BATTLE SCHOOL for the second. BATTLE SCHOOL broke a step slow, climbed early and dropped off the pace, moved to the two path, tipped three wide at the quarter pole and lost the duel for second. MIGUELITO tracked three deep, dropped back and angled in on the turn, then failed to threaten in the lane. CANO FOR THE WIN tracked four deep to the turn, lost ground four then three wide on the turn and never responded in the lane. SHADY GEM chased from inside, fell out of range on the turn and tired. MY MAN HUEY stumbled leaving the gate, trailed up the backstretch, took the turn two to three wide and was never a factor.
