STAGGER LEE was off a bit slow and brushed leaving the gate, traveled in mid-pack early then chased just out of range into the turn, saved ground to the stretch, bid from inside a trio of rivals, took over midstretch and prevailed over LUCK LUCKY (IRE) in the end. LUCK LUCKY (IRE) stalked the top pair from inside, shifted three wide approaching the stretch, challenged four deep, dueled with STAGGER LEE in deep stretch and was bested by that rival. DAY AT THE TRACK sat off the pace, raced along the rail then two wide on the turn, angled out in upper stretch, steered back to the inside midstretch and finished well to gain third. HARBOR CODE pressed the pace from outside up the backstretch and around the turn, fought three deep in upper stretch and weakened in the last sixteenth. PRECISION (GB) forwardly placed outside a rival, took the turn three then two wide and weakened in the drive. ROCKABILLY REBAL took a slight hop then lost his path at the start, trailed on the inside around the bend, moved out at the sixteenth pole and passed a tired rival. DESERT DAWG set a pressured pace up the backstretch, was unable to shake loose from HARBOR CODE at the quarter pole, relinquished the lead in upper stretch and gave way.
