CHROMEFLASH showed early foot, stalked two wide into the turn, patiently handled around the bend, drew alongside the leader past the eighth pole and drove clear. FRANK BULLITT tracked from outside, went three wide into the turn, moved into the two path, came three wide into the stretch, finished well to gain second but could not reach the winner. BALLYVAUGHAN GIG controlled the pace down the hill, remained clear to upper stretch, challenged by CHROMEFLASH midstretch and weakened once overtaken. WARM SUN AND BREW traveled in mid-pack in the opening stages, went three wide into the turn, moved to the four path late on the bend, never stopped trying in the lane but needed to find more. CARDIFF CRACK lost his path at the start, trailed early then passed a rival three wide nearing the turn, exited the bend in the three path, moved out at the top of the lane and improved position. MAKER AND SONS tracked out of range into the turn, chased between in the two path, stayed off the rail to the stretch, asked right handed at the top of the lane, switch hands past the eighth pole and failed to rally. DRUIDIC raced near the back then trailed into the turn, saved ground around the bend, had one beat coming into the lane and passed a few more tired rivals. KEEP DANCIN NICK raced in mid-pack and steered to the inside, saved ground to the stretch and failed to answer the call. SOGNO DI VINO saved ground near the back, went two wide into the lane and failed to menace. CHASE N RYAN was fractious in the gate, sat well off the pace in the early going, went two wide into the turn, trailed three wide into the lane and was never a factor.
