CATFISH CORY hustled from the gate, vied for the early lead three deep, dueled with MRSAINTPATRICK into the turn then shook free approaching the top of the lane, drew off while under firm urging into the final furlong, was ridden out to the final sixteenth and won as much the best. SIMPLE MAJORITY stumbled at the start and spotted the rest to begin, moved up along the inside heading into the turn then tipped out to upper stretch, was no match for the winner to the final sixteenth but bested the rest for second. MRSAINTPATRICK broke out and crowded an outer rival at the start, showed good speed from the gate and vied for the early lead from inside of a pair of runners, dueled CATFISH CORY into the turn, turned away into upper stretch, yielded to the top two in the final furlong and held safely for third. BIG TIME COACH was away in good order then took back, settled in the second flight and coaxed outside of rivals into the turn, raced three then four wide nearing the quarter marker, swung widest to upper stretch, needed more in the drive and passed tiring rivals. HERE COMES TOO TOO vied for the early lead between runners, dropped back into the turn then came up empty in the drive. SPIDER JOHN pinballed and bumped between rivals at the start, settled early on then crowded a rival nearing the half-mile marker, coaxed three wide approaching the quarter pole, lacked the needed response in the drive and failed to threaten late. PATRICIA'S BOY settled off of the early pace, got caught in tight between rivals nearing the half-mile marker and steadied approaching that station, trailed into the turn, couldn't find a response to upper stretch, was eased through the lane and walked off.
