LIAM SMITH grabbed early command, dictated the pace while well in hand from along the fence, responded when threatened entering the lane then powered away under right hand encouragement to score convincingly. DUKE SILVER stalked from off the rail, asked for more nearing quarter marker, loomed outside pacesetter, came three wide into the lane, lost contact with winner in the drive and comfortably held second. CLOUSEAU chased from the three path early, chased from between rivals on the turn, later came in some and held third from along the rail. CAPTAIN SHREVE settled off the pace, tracked four wide into and on the turn, later angled inward in the stretch and was turned back for the show. SAN SABA stalked while outside DUKE SILVER, continued three wide around and bend, followed same path into the stretch and weakened in the late stages. FOR ALL MANKIND bobbled in the opening strides then dropped back, chased along the inside, saved ground to the stretch and faded.
