SORRENTO SKY (IRE) broke alertly then took back, settled in the early stages then given his cue nearing the crossing, swung five wide to upper stretch and responded well in the lane, rallied to take command into the final sixteenth and won going away. SUMTER settled while never far back in the early going, coaxed between rivals approaching the crossing, swung three wide to upper stretch then came within range nearing the final sixteenth, couldn't match strides with the winner late and outfinished his stablemate to earn the place. AMORITA sent to take early command, set a solid pace going down the hill, met the bid of NESSO'S LASTHARRAH into upper stretch, dug in into the final furlong then was overtaken by the winner into the final sixteenth, was outfinished for second in deep stretch and held safely for third. LATER THAN PLANNED (IRE) settled just off of the early pace then tracked from the inside coming down the hill, was well placed while saving ground approaching the dirt crossing, tipped to the three path to upper stretch, lacked the needed response heading to the furlong marker then was caught in tight past mid-stretch, angled out in deep stretch but couldn't make headway late on the leaders. NESSO'S LASTHARRAH vied for the early lead then stalked the pace coming down the hill, went up to challenge AMORITA in upper stretch, battled while within range into the final furlong then faded in deep stretch. FIRST PEACE broke in a bit at the start then was unhurried early on, trailed to the crossing, swung widest for the stretch drive, made a mild late rally but needed more. PURE MADNESS prominent in the early running, tracked outside of the early leaders coming down the hill, set down four wide for the stretch drive, lacked the needed response at mid-stretch then gave way in the final stages.
