LITTLE OPAL showed good speed from the gate and took early command, showed the way coming down the hill then led from the inside approaching the dirt crossing, kicked clear into the lane, kept DAY TO DAY at bay into the final furlong and held sway to the wire. DAY TO DAY settled off of the early pace and outside of rivals, roused four wide nearing the crossing, bid to upper stretch and chased LITTLE OPAL into the final furlong, was gaining on the winner in deep stretch but couldn't reel that one in and held safely for second. MO' EM DOWN off a step slowly, recovered and was well placed along the inside coming down the hill, tracked while saving ground nearing the top of the lane, bid to mid-stretch, was outkicked by the top pair into the final sixteenth and held clearly for third. SURFIN' U. S. A. unhurried coming down the hill, moved to the outside of rivals nearing the crossing, swung five wide to upper stretch, mounted a mild late rally but needed more to the final sixteenth. RUN WITH LIBERTY forwardly placed away from the gate, tracked the early pace from outside of rivals, chased three wide to the crossing, was outkicked to mid-stretch then flattened out in the late stages. BRAVE DEB broke a bit awkwardly but came away in good order, settled off of the early pace, saved ground to the crossing, kept an inside path to the stretch and lacked a rally. YOURS SINCERELY (IRE) settled in the early stages, coaxed two wide and between runners nearing the crossing, angled to the four path to upper stretch, lacked the needed response at the furlong pole and failed to threaten late. SEEKING ATTENTION forwardly placed in the early running, tracked two wide and between rivals nearing the crossing, lacked the needed response to mid-stretch then weakened in the drive. COME ON OM close up to the early pace, tracked two to three wide and between runners coming down the hill, dropped back nearing the crossing then trailed into upper stretch, was eased through the lane and walked off.
