HEMET GOLD chased from inside, ridden along while moving over to the two path on the turn, bid outside the leader at the top of the lane, grabbed the lead midstretch and drove clear. THE GRAY WOLF took control early from inside, showed the way from the rail through the turn, challenged by a pair of runners at the three-sixteenths pole, resisted into the final furlong, lost command midstretch and stayed on to hold second. DELANEYS DREAMER followed closely from off the rail, pursued in the two then three path on the turn, bid three deep at the top of the stretch but could not summon the needed late kick. MYSTIC MOSES broke out and bumped, stalked outside a pair of rivals, took the turn three then four wide, drifted in then out in the lane and could not rally. PAPA SANTOS broke out and got sandwiched shortly after, raced between foes at the back, angled from the three path down to the rail on the turn, swung out for the drive, bothered by MYSTIC MOSES midstretch and could not rally. RACK ON MAN came away awkwardly, climbed giving chase up the backstretch, rounded the bend along the rail or two path on the turn and failed to rally. STERN SENTENCE broke in and bumped hard, stalked four deep, lost ground around the turn and angled inward, chased two wide into the lane and tired. ROOSKI DOO got sandwiched leaving the gate, trailed outside rivals in the early going, raced four wide early on the turn, angled down to the two path and failed to menace. THERE WAS AN INQUIRY INVOLVING MYSTIC MOSES, PAPA SANTOS, ROOSKI DOO AND STERN SENTENCE AT THE START. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS UNANIMOUSLY RULED THAT THE RUNNERS CONTRIBUTED TO THEIR OWN PROBLEMS AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
