STARFINDER took control and moved inside, got pressured on the backstretch, lost command dueling around the far turn, could not keep up with the new leader in upper stretch, came back on past the sixteenth pole and nailed ROYAL PEARL at the wire. ROYAL PEARL was closest in pursuit in the two path early, applied pressure from outside in the middle stages, put a head in front fighting on even terms on the second bend, cleared STARFINDER approaching the eighth pole, showed the way into the final sixteenth, confronted by rivals on both sides late and got nailed on the line. D'YQUEM bobbled at the break, tracked from inside, closed in around the far turn, moved off the fence in the lane, rallied three deep late and missed in a blanket finish. VENDETTA settled in the two path then found the rail quickly on the clubhouse turn, asked two then three wide around the second bend, tipped out for the drive and finished willingly to round out the superfecta. FOREWARN sat off the pace three then two wide early, ridden along still in the two path on the far turn and improved position. MOOBERRY tracked three then two wide around the first turn, came under a ride on the second bend and flattened out in the lane. PRESENTING was off slow from the far outside, tucked inside at the back, shifted to the two path early on the first turn then returned to the rail, stayed on the fence through the far turn, tipped out in the lane and was never a factor. JUST LIBERTY was off a bit slow to begin, sat off the pace along the rail, saved ground to the stretch and came up empty.
