Footnotes
COACH CRONIN vied three deep up the backstretch, lost touch with inner rivals at the seven-sixteenths pole, re-bid three deep with a quarter mile remaining, took over with a furlong remaining, cleared midstretch, drifted to the inside and remained strong to the wire. ONE SMOKIN DUDE vied inside a pair of rivals to the turn, dueled around the bend, fought with outer pair again at the quarter pole, yielded to the winner in upper stretch, kept trying from the rail in the lane and outkicked MR. MACHUPICCHU for second. MR. MACHUPICCHU vied between rivals in the opening stages, dueled outside ONE SMOKIN DUDE on the turn, fought once again between rivals with a quarter mile remaining, lost command near the eighth pole and flattened to third. NO MORE DING DONGS got squeezed leaving the gate, trailed off the rail, spun three wide into the lane, offered a mild response to earn a minor award but failed to threaten the top trio. ARIO stalked three deep then outside a rival, took the turn two wide and faded down the lane. LAST CALL PAUL stalked five deep into and around the bend, chased four deep into the stretch and weakened. YA'LL COME stalked between rivals then moved inside on the backstretch, saved ground around the bend and tired. CHASING RAIN chased three deep between rivals, dropped back on the turn and came up empty. TARGARYIS stalked four deep between runners to the turn, dropped back around the bend and had little left for the drive.
