Footnotes
REPO MAN settled at the back along the inside still in range of the pacesetter, drew closer while moving into the two path on the far turn, tipped out and bid three deep in upper stretch, fought on even terms while bumping with MAXIFY at the sixteenth pole, came in to bump that rival shortly after, continued to drifted inward late and edged MAXIFY for the victory. MAXIFY stalked in the three path around the clubhouse turn, challenged three deep on the second bend, dueled outside DUTY BOND turning for home, put a head in front in upper stretch, led between rivals, drifted out and bumped REPO MAN at the sixteenth pole then took a bump from REPO shortly after, got floated in late and finished gamely to the wire. DUTY BOUND was closest in pursuit of the pacesetter in the two path early on, challenged from outside past the half-mile pole, would not let A P OXBOW kick clear at the three-eighths pole, headed that rival midway around the turn, took over at the quarter pole, moved inside after clearing A P OXBOW late on the bend but now had to contend with MAXIFY to the outside, relinquished the lead in upper stretch, fought on with outer rivals to the sixteenth pole, then weakened in deep stretch. A P OXBOW established the front along the rail, took pressure past the half-mile pole, inched ahead into the far turn but failed to clear, headed by DUTY BOND inside the five-sixteenths marker, yielded to outer rivals late on the bend and tired down the lane. THE RIDER ABOARD MAXIFY LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST REPO MAN FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE LATE IN THE RACE. THERE WAS ALSO A STEWARDS' INQUIRY CONCERNING THE SAME INCIDENT. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS UNANIMOUSLY RULED THAT THE CONTACT BETWEEN THE TWO RUNNERS WAS MUTUEL AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
