THE BIG CHEESEOLA broke well to take the front, crossed to the inside, met the bid from WINDS OF FREEDOME midway around the bend, battled head to head to the sixteenth pole and inched ahead late for the victory. MAJOR TOM got bumped around at the start, trailed up the backstretch on the inside, passed a rival around the bend, closed well from the fence and ran out of ground. WINDS OF FREEDOM bumped with MAJOR TOM at the start, was closest in pursuit to the turn, challenged from outside at the five-sixteenths pole, battled into deep stretch, could not get by the winner and got edged for second. MORELLO sat off the pace, saved ground through the turn, cut the corner into the lane and summoned a mild rally to round out the superfecta. LAST CALL LONDON stalked four then three deep early, chased in the three path around the bend, finished willingly in the final furlong but lacked the needed late punch. BIG DON'S SMILING chased from inside, eased off the rail while losing ground on the turn, spun three wide into the lane, kept trying down the lane but needed to find more. MOMO'S KIDDO chased out of range off the rail, took the turn four wide and failed to respond. HAYWOOD chased three deep early, moved into the two path for the turn and weakened. HOT CHICKS ONLY broke through the gate prior to the start, chased from off the pace, dropped back four then five wide on the turn and had little left for the stretch run.
